Vintage MADE ITALY INOX PATENT 28cm Italian Swing guard Stag Red dot switchblade from the 1960s or 70s measures 27.7cm (11 inches) open with D stamped brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, guards, button & safety. Flat swedge blade nearly full with much of the original factory finish and some light scratches and stamped MADE ITALY INOX on the ricasso and PATENT on the backside. Stag scales are gorgeous and gnarly and in great condition with 8 intentional notches along the front scale with red dot safety and held on by brass pins. I can’t say for sure on the notches, but it’s certainly possible that they represent past “encounters”. The knife works well with blade tip even with liners closed, strong snap and tight lockup. Safety works. VG+ condition.
