Vintage Italian Swinger from the 1960s. Measures 20.5cm open (8″) with brass liners and nickel silver bolsters, guards, button & safety cap. The blade is 97% full with much of the original factory finish still intact under lots of light scratches from sharpening and use that could be easily cleaned off. The blade is marked MADE IN ITALY INOXID on the front and PATENT on the back of the tang. This knife has a Red Dot safety and the horn scales are in very good condition, with some handling marks. The front scale is nearly black with tan streaking in the middle and the back scale is basically black. The knife works well with the blade tip seating well below the liners when closed, good snap and good lockup with just a little movement. The safety works well. This is a backspring release knife so you have to push down on the tab near the bottom bolsters to close the knife. There is some spotting on the backspring, but not bad. Overall a good honest working example of a 1960s vintage Italian swing guard switchblade.
